This post is dedicated to those everyone out there living with Epilepsy whether you are newly diagnosed or have had it for many years. You have come to the right place. Learning to accept Epilepsy does take time and a lot of strength. But you will get there on step at a time. Learning to understand Epilepsy. It's a rocky roller coaster with twists and turns, ups and downs. You learn after a while to get back up and every time you fall you become stronger to never give up the fight. I myself have had it for many years, trust me it hasn't been easy. I know the struggles of being judged and discriminated against. But a piece of advice don't let it get to you, those kind of people don't understand and have no empathy to what we have and are going through as they aren't walking in our shoes. But we are strong . we are fighters. Giving up is not a option, as Eminem has said in his song lose yourself " If you had, one shot or one opportunity to seize everything you ever wanted, in one moment would you capture it or just let it slip?" Those lyrics helped me over the years to give my all don't let epilepsy control my life even though at times it might be tough. Take it slow, breathe in and out. You are strong you are smart, you can do anything you set your mind to. In conclusion, epilepsy has its own roller coaster of events we just need to take the time to recover. Stay positive.
