2021 first post and the current pandemic and added stress.

Writer's picture: Emily SkogstadEmily Skogstad

This is my first post in a quite a while but I felt like it was necessary. To start off there are obviously are a lot of misconceptions and stigma in regards to Epilepsy going back to the mediaeval days even now in today’s society, which can make some of us feel marginalised from society. Secondly to those who are struggling with Epilepsy on top of the current pandemic to say the least it’s a worrisome situation affecting the whole population of the world, please stay strong, stay safe, you aren’t alone, I understand the added stress is an inconvenience and stress factor that ultimately can result in a seizure. Take care of your mental health as this situation can provoke it as I myself had had issues with it during this pandemic. Remember you have support.
