Doctors and the love hate relationship

Doctors I have a love hate relationship with them, they tend to never listen to their own patients, well that's my experience anyway, even though its apart of their job and most likely to be in their job description to treat and listen their patients. They don't understand enough of what we deal with on a daily basis, they think they know it all, yes they are medical professionals but they don't have this condition we have, they might have the knowledge but they don't have the experience dealing with it . I kind of feel like a lab rat about of the amount of different treatments they have tired on me, I used to be on six pills a day, I literally could not function properly it was like I was there but not really there. Thankfully I'm only been on two for the past three years. They only really listen to you if you have the psychical evidence, which is important but how are you supposed to remember what happened if you are having a grand mal seizure and you are unconscious? Unless you have a witness. This is where I came across this application called Epilepsy Journal which you can download on your mobile. You can put a reminder to have your meds because we all know its hard to remember at times am I right? Not only that but this application has so many other features. Now it's easier for doctors as they can see all the data and the ability to send a report of the all data collected of seizure activity and the frequency of them. I have used this application for over four months and it's my saving grace, as I never used to be able to remember all my seizures and would often forget to take my medication which is not ideal. Highly recommend it to all of you if you have epilepsy or a loved one does, it will be useful, it beats writing it all out in a note book.
